You would need to be sure of the parish first, so you could check what records are available.... do you know what religious denomination these families were ?

There are some Church of Ireland Co. Carlow records available at : www.irishgenealogy.ie  No RC records for the county are online at the moment.

Have a look at the details of the RC parishes in the county : RC Parishes, Co. Carlow     (Irish Times)

Not all RC parishes have records back as far as 1818, but many of the Carlow ones do. Records for the parishes mentioned above are available on microfilm in the National Library in Dublin

sorry did not mean to confuse had no luck in wexford with marriage
being he came from carlow thought marriage may have taken place there
also did not realise you could put wexford post on carlow

for such early dates you need to have a specific location, not just a possible county. As I mentioned earlier not many parishes have records before 1830, so the marriage could easily have taken place in Co. Wexford, but before the start of available records.

Did you search all the parishes in Co. Wexford with records back to 1818 ?
