Hello

I have had a look at the listings availble on the subscription sites and cannot see one.

ARe you sure he left a will only he died young and as such may not have thought about one...or his widow was granted letters of Administration to deal with the estate

As he died 1902 if there was a will it would be most likely to appear on the probate calendars for 1902 or 1903, both of which are missing from Ancestry. You would need to find a record office or library that has the full set of calendars or else use the court service link provided by MancsMan for a search + copy of anything they have (will/admon).

Thank you all for your comments and insight.  I must admit it hadn't occurred to me that he wouldn't have left a will.  I guess it confirms there wasn't much left of the family properties/assets by the time James died.  He can't have had anything much to leave.

Much appreciated.

Hi Fleur

I checked the Probate Calendars at Holborn for 1902, 1903, 1904, 1905 and 1906 but there were no entries.
