Cleethorpes Training Centre

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a photo of Cleethorpes
Training Centre in WW11. My ancester did his training here with the
Royal Warwickshire Regiment before being transferred and posted out
to India.
Any help gratefully received.

Hi Alyson,  I saw your post a couple of weeks ago and as I live in Grimsby, (which joins on to Cleethorpes) I thought I would look into it for you.
I have made enquiries at our Central Library and have a picture for you of what was the Army Barracks at Humberston (Cleethorpes).  The picture was not taken during the actual war years, as I don't think that was allowed for security reasons, but this picture was taken around 1950 and the 'camp' had been turned into some sort of holiday camp.  You can see on the picture, it says Beacholme Holiday Camp, and this camp was what was the Army Camp.  I also have a map of the area, showing the buildings, so if you PM me your email address, I will email the pictures to you.  I know your post has been on the board since last July, but I only came across it just recently.
