Hi,

     Could anyone look up Seacombe Foxall on any of the census returns for me?
My Seacombe Foxall was born in Lancashire England but i noticed his unusual name on the New Zealand Census returns and was wondering if he is somehow related to mine.

Hi Althea..I have 3 Seacombe Foxall's in my tree from 1800 to 1895 so just any census details that may give any indicaton where they originated.

The earliest of my Seacombe's was born in Dublin, Ireland and the other 2 in Lancashire, England.

Our lists are electoral rolls and they do not record place of birth..only residence and occupation.
You would need to get a death certificate, unless family can be found,
there is a death notice in Paperspast, but doesn't have any details on origin.
Passenger lists? It looks like he arrived fairly early 1860s

I notice his age varies at death from 61yrs in his death notice

so a birth year of 1832-1837

There are some private trees at a$try with that age match born Ireland
but some have him dying in Manchester

What about funeral director - do you know Janette? are there records for that early
