Hi all.

 Are these certificates available online or would one have to view the parish records?

No birth certs are available online.  Birth certs were only intoduced from 1.7.1837

Baptismal entries pre and post 1837 are online via either of the links below.  The records are not complete

To see the original entry you would have to look at the parish record.  All that is available online is transcriptions

Re: original parish registers - they are not individual certificates - they are consecutive entries in a register so your ancestors entry will probably appear on the same page as any other children baptised on the same day
