Hi all,

I have a Jane Parker who married in 1761 at Westerfield, her residence is given as Durham Bridge but I have no idea where this is.

Anyone have an ideas ?

Does it say that this is in Suffolk?  or are we looking elsewhere?

Nearest to Durham Bridge in Suffolk, when said out loud, is Dunwich ?

The only Bridge I can find in the Westerfield area on an ordnance survey map of today is Rosemary Bridge  :-\

Of course there is Woodbridge and Eastbridge.

I have to find two more!

SUFFOLK - Pendle, Stygall, Pipe, Fruer, Bridges, Fisk, Bellamy, Sparham - all link to  Framlingham
DERBY - Bridges and Frost (originally Framlingham/Parham)
NOTTINGHAM - Lambert & Selby
BERKSHIRE/then Hammersmith LDN - Fulker
LDN/MDX - Murray, Clancy, Broker, Hoskins, Marsden, Wilson, Sale

GGfather Michael Wilson born Cork, lived Fulham London - moved to Boston USA 1889, what happened next?

Another possibility could be Debach, which could sound like Durham Bridge said with a Suffolk accent.

I have seen the parish record and it just says Durham Bridge. If you have access to Findmypast it is on there as well.

It could be an accent thing I guess, thanks guys I hadn't thought about that.
