I haven't used this site for some time, but it used to be very good:
http://www.parishregister.com/
There is a fee involved.

Is it only the apprenticeship details you looking for?

Do you mean the Parish Register site, or Rootschat?  ;D

They have added more to ParhishRegister.com since I last used it. I used it for transcripts for PRs from a couple of London/Middx churches. I think now that Ancestry have London PR's online, that unfortunately this excellent site will suffer through fewer visitors = fewer purchases.

Thank you RUSKIE for your time. I will search the Parish Register site if I can not get a look up reply in a few days.
To answer your question I am looking for any information I can get about GEORGE SILVERTON pre 1851 I can get.

Many Thanks,

So I take it you have located George in all censuses except the 1841?

If you would like a lookup of this census can you please let us know the names and approx years of birth of any other family members you expect may be with George eg, wife and children?
(I had a quick look for him in 1841 but could not easily see him - there is a 32 year old Jane Silverton in Gillingham with son George age 13, plus other children but no husband present - this family may have a connection with your George?  :-\)

I take it George was either a Waterman or Lighterman?  ;)
