Hello there,

The information you have ties in with what I have, which one of Robert's children is your parent?

Margaret was my Great Great grandmother, my great grandfather was Margaret's son James, Margaret died in 1895.

Hi, my birth father is Robert (still living), his mother is Williamina Bathia Farquhar (1915-1947)

Robert (1903-1979) had other children with Williamina - William Alexander (died 2010), Williamina Bathia (1934-2003), Bathia Dunca (1942-1943) and I think Charles Farquhar (still living)

Robert (1903) remarried after Williamina (1915) died - Isabella Mary Milne (or McIntosh) (1919-1993) - children Alison (still living) and Brenda (1951-1992)

I hope my info is right, I didn't know my father's family at all so this has come from research from Scotlands People and Ancestry.

To return to Robert Robertson: he and and Margaret Cran seem to have had 7 children, Ann Margaret, born Rayne 1834, George Gelland born Rayne 1837 [these two seem to be separate from the following children so I have queries there], Alexander born 1842 (my great grandfather), Margaret born 11 June 1845, James born 1848, Isabella born 1855 and William born 4 May 1857 - all in Portsoy.

Old post but may also help others.

An 1855 birth cert. (Scotland) will give the amount of births in total, how many boys living/deceased & how many girls living/deceased, when & where married, mother's maiden name as well as where each parent was born.

Hi

I have got some on Robert (1903), although I didn't know he remarried after Williamina, I have them having 7 Children, the ones missing on your information are

Elizabeth Mary born 1938, died the same year
Jessie Ann Duncan born 1940 no death date

I use the same sources and have just been to the records office in Glasgow this week to update some other information on my tree.

If you can fill me in on what information you have or need I'll do my best to let you know,
