1841 Census/Marriage Lookup - Attwood

Hi!

The 1881 Census shows that James Attwood born in Ashchurch, Glos
in about 1810 married Elizabeth who was born in Tintern in about 1803.
They had a daughter called Charlotte who was born in about 1845 in
Ashchurch and were definitely living there by 1861.

It's a bit of a long shot, but I was wondering if James and Elizabeth
married in Monmouthshire and were living there at the time of the
1841 Census. FreeBMD shows the marriage of a James Attwood in
the district of Chepstow in the Qtr to Dec 1837 and one of the
possible brides is Elizabeth Williams, but I'm not sure if he is the
James I am looking for.

If anyone can find James on the 1841 Census or confirm that the
James who married in the Chepstow district was from Ashchurch
I would be very grateful.

There is a James & Elizabeth Attwood lodging in Chapel Hill in 1851 aged 46 & 47 born Alvington Glos & Chapel Hill Mon. So they are probably the ones that married in 1837, they have no children in 1851.

Thanks for taking the trouble to look at this for me.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the couple I am looking for, as my
James Attwood was born in Ashchurch, nr Tewkesbury.

However, it is likely that this is the couple shown on FreeBMD - I think
I'll have to request a copy of the marriage certificate to find out.
