hi alastair,

i took the liberty of checking out your request at tna on tuesday.

i could not locate your chap on the film which i ran forward and backwards.

having said that the scans are difficult to read.

the 251 reference is annotated to a page(s) (some discharge papers have aditional letters attached) but it does not refer to your man.

wo121/1(57) refers to discharges in 1803, whereas the main discharges came in 1802 when the regiments were totally disbanded (i think i've got that right)

not withstanding this, i will have another go as i am returning soon to check out some other requests.

i will get back to you either way (success or not).
