Fredericton cemeteries
« on: Tuesday 26 July 11 19:47 BST (UK) »
I am going to be in Fredericton on Saturday and I would like to look up a couple burials.  I know that Clifford Heskin died a catholic in 1915 and his wife followed in 1917.  I would appreciate any guidance to find their burials.

They also had a daughter, Caroline (Carrie), born about 1870, who I cannot find after 1911.  I am hoping that she is buried with her parents.  I have not found a husband or children for her, but I suspect that she had a son.

Thanks

Hope this helps
If you do a search for Provincial Archives of New Brunswick,
then go to Search
Births Marriages Deaths
Vital Statistics from Government Records
Put in Heskin
This will bring up both Annie and Clifford
You can view the original death certificates for both. the informant is Father F E Carney. Father Carney was the priest at Saint Dunstans Parish in Fredericton. He later became Monsignor Carney. Saint Dunstan's has a website with contact information. They may be able to help you.

I checked the cemetery transcriptions on line for Fredericton but didn't find anything for Heskin.
According to the public archives site, Clifford died Dec 30, 1914 and Annie died Sept, 18, 1916.

From the Saint John Daily News, May 16, 1877
Death: Tuesday morn, 15th May, Clifford Scott Heskin, 6th year, only s/o Clifford Heskin and Annie Heskin. Funeral from his father's residence, 199 Carmarthen St. (St. John) Wednesday half past 2 o'clock.

If you don't find them in Fredericton, they may be in Saint John. Annie is orginally from Saint John. I couldn't find anything on the daughter in NB.

Thank you so much!

I'll check St John as well.  I know that they lived there off and on, as well as Halifax.  I had hoped, since I am going through Fredericton, that they would be there and it would be easy.

I'll check out the provincial archives - thanks again!
