BARNES
Another new venue - St Peter and St Felix at Kirkby Ravensworth, NRY
"In affectionate remembrance of William Heslop BARNES of Brompton on Swale
who died February 3rd 1878 aged 52 years, son of Robert Hodgson BARNES and
grandson of Reverend Robert BARNES. Both of Barnard Castle.
Mary Trenholm, his wife died at Scorton May 27th 1888 aged 64 years"

KNOWLES
Found amongst the headstones in St Cuthbert's churchyard at Crayke, near
Easingwold.
Stockton on Tees is close to Middlesbrough, north of the county.
"In affectionate remembrance of Roger KNOWLES the beloved husband of Lucy
KNOWLES of Stockton on Tees who died September 6th 1885 aged 27 years.
Thy will be done"

LONG
Found amongst the headstones in St Michael's churchyard at North Otterington, near Northallerton, NRY
"To the cherished memory of Albert de Lande LONG youngest son of Peter Bartholomew LONG
Born at Ipswich 13th September 1844
Died at Crosby Cote, Northallerton 23rd February 1914
And of Susannah his wife, daughter of John Robert KELSO
Born at North Shields 8th August 1852
Died at Thorpe Hall, Barnard Castle 23rd March 1925"

NATTRASS
Found amongst the headstones in Harlow Hill Cemetery, Harrogate
"In memory of Nicholas Jackson NATTRASS formerly of Sunderland, Master Mariner, who died at Harrogate on the 1st day of February 1899 in his 78th year"

PUDDEPHATT
Found amongst the headstones at St Robert's church, Pannal, near Harrogate, NRY
"Sacred to the memory of Frederick PUDDEPHATT of Stockton on Tees who died at Melmerby November 23rd 1853 age 37 years
Also Isabella wife of the above who died March11th 1879 age 51 years"
Please tell me if any of my Strays "belong to you"

WITHAM, STURDY and TRAPPS
A real mixture in this one - but you can account for 3 generations. Wish it were mine!
Found amongst the headstones at All Saints, Nidd, betwixt Harrogate and Ripon, North Yorkshire
"To the memory of Dorothy WITHAM daughter of Mr William STURDY of Bedlington, Northumberland, relict of William WITHAM of Preston Hall in the county of Durham and mother to the wife of Francis TRAPPS Esq who departed this life February 22nd Anno 1787, aged 87
Requiescant in Peace"
