I have not been able to get into the IGI from the Hugh Wallis site.  I can get in but when I put a surname in the box to search then I get an error type message.  Is anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

Similar complaints on the Northumberland board and links to a general discussion about the site. It has been referred to some technical guru apparently. Hope it get sorted. I don't want to go through the Familysearch site all the time.

Just to say I've tried today (5th Sept) and likewise, can get onto the site but can't perform a name search.   Does anyone have any clues as to if / when it might be fixed?

It was fixed for a short time  - but yes, it has gone again.

It must be something to do with the revamp of the family history site.

You can get round it by going here

http://www.familysearch.org/eng/search/frameset_search.asp?PAGE=igi/search_IGI.asp&clear_form=true

and just putting British Isles, then enter the batch number off the Hugh Wallis site. That will give you the whole batch, or you can enter a surname to limit it.
Rose (Black Country),Downs (Black Country),Wolloxall (any and all),Bark (Derbyshire),Wright (Derbyshire),Marsden (Derbyshire), Wallace (Black Country)
