I have found Elizabeth (nee Canna) and her husband William Hannon in the 1901 census, living in Bray with their sons John, Andrew & William. No sign of them in 1911.

Cannot find Bridget (nee Canna) and her husband Denis Byrne in the 1901 census.

Thank you, found them now. In 1911 it states 10 children born of which 8 are living
Can only see 6 on the 1911 Census and no Ellen who appears on the 1901 census.
The parents had been married 14 years, so where would the 2 missing children have been.

Hi,
There is an Ellen Byrne living with her aunt Ellen Kenna in 1911. She is listed in her household at Moneystown North (Moneystown, Co. Wicklow). In 1901 Ellen Kenna is married to Timothy Kenna and living at the same address as above. There is a niece called Annie Byrne age 3yrs living with them at this time.

Added note:
Rootsireland show the following children Baptised in Rathdrum (RC) with parents listed as Denis Byrne and Brigid. The mothers surname 'Canna' is only coming up on one record but they may be of interest to you.

Mary Byrne 1898
Ellen Byrne 1899
Denis Byrne 1900

I now have details of the marriage of Philomena Byrne who married Andrew Canna January 1872 at Kilquade. Philomena was 25 and Andrew 22, both living in Kilpedder. Their fathers were. Andrew Canna (alive)- Carpenter, as was his son. George Byrne (alive) - Labourer. On the certificate their name is spelt, Canagh. Should be able to go back another generation ?
