Hi again Lesley Anne

Grandma Pat hasn't been on this site since January 2011, but she should get a notification that you have posted, and may then post again.

You see from the number under her name that she only posted 2 times and therefore you can't send her a personal message.

In the meantime, perhaps you should post again to get your total up to three and then hopefully Grandma Pat will come back and get back in touch with you.  From what you say, it looks as if you are both grandchildren of Elizabeth Maud Otter.

good luck

Kirsty, would like to hear from you about the Otter family. From the details I have read in your posts it seems Elizabeth Maud Otter was my grandmother. Am trying to contact relatives. My father was Fredrick William Otter, eldest son of Matthew and Maud Otter of Gorey Bay, Jersey.

I have just read your posts dated October last year stating that your Grandmother was Elizabeth Maud Otter who died in Biberach, Germany, in 1944. If so, it seems we are related in that she was my grandmother also. She and her husband Matthew Otter had been living in Gorey Bay, Jersey. They had three children, my father, who was Frederick William Otter, another son Harry Otter and a daughter Maud Otter. My father died in 1950 and I believe Matthew was taken back to Gorey Bay by Harry about that time. Maud Otter attended my father's funeral in Worcestershire, I believe she and her husband returned to Jesery to open a business, after which we lost contact.
I hope you read this and will send a reply - I also have correspondence and photographs.
Lesley Anne.

Hello, I have received an email notification for these new posts. Yes, I am sure we are related Lesley Anne. I knew about your Dad but obviously never met him. I would love to  be able to contact you but not sure how I can reply directly to you via this website.
I note from one of the posts that you can reply if I reach a certain number. I hope this will do it!
Thanks to tips given by other posts.
Pat

Hello,  I am descended from Susan Emma Otter (b.1860 Timberland, Lincs) and she had a brother called Frederick William Otter (b. 1864 Timberland - d. 1950) so is this branch of the Otter family related?

Thanks

No, I'm sorry but my father, Frederick William Otter, was born in 1911 and died 1950. I doubt that we are related in anyway. However, in my research I believe
there was a Samuel Otter and family mentioned in the 1901 and 1911 census, but perhaps you have already investigated that. Good luck with your search.

Hello,
I am the granddaughter of Harry Otter. His siblings were Frederick and Maud. Frederick was the eldest, he went to Victoria College and sadly died shortly after the war. Maud lived in the U.K for a short time then came back to Jersey. Harry passed away ten years ago.
