Henry Rickhuss
Registerd Jul-Aug-Sep 1888
Bridgenorth, Shropshire
Volume 6a
Page 8

As I said I have his birth certifiacte and marriage... The details you have given above as I remember
look correct and as I found them so this looks like the correct person

I have the paperwork somewhere so I will try to find it asap

He was about 27 /28 in 1917 when he married Sarah she was about 18 / 19 at the time.

His mother Alice and father William I found their graves in Bridgnorth they died within a year
of each other around the end of WW2

I really had give up to be honest finding any more details of Henry...

Thanks

Hi,

From the booklet 'Bridgnorth - An Army Roll of Honour 1914 - 1918'

RICKHUSS G. 56 Whitburn St. Dvr. 96885 D-180th Batty. RFA.
RICKHUSS Henry. 56 Whitburn St. Gnnr. 58506 13th Reserve Bty. RFA.
RICKHUSS W. 56 Whitburn St. Pte. 2895 & Coy, 2-4 KSLI.

This is the death of the Grandfather (of Henry b.1888)
Death announced in the local newspaper 'The Bridgnorth Journal' issue dated 29 April 1916.
Henry RICKHUSS, age 88, at 56 Whitburn Street, Bridgnorth, formerly of Morville and the Smythies.

You say you found the graves of William & Alice. There's also Henry's Sister - Martha.
Here are the full burial details in Bridgnorth Municipal Cemetery.

William RICKHUSS, Carpenter, age 85. Died at the Infirmary of 2 Oldbury Wells. Buried 16 Jan 1946. Grave 2940F Consecrated.
Alice RICKUSS, Widow, age 86 of 2 Oldbury Wells. Buried 28 Sept 1946. Grave No.2008 New Consecrated.
Martha E RICKHUSS, Spinster, age 73. Buried 29 June 1959. Grave No.3187C Consecrated.

I'm almost certain that Henry b.1888 is not buried in Bridgnorth cemetery.

Hi,

That information looks spot on it took me years to find that out.

Henry Rickhuss is not burried in Bridgnorth ...Staffordshire is
a possible maybe Hednesford / Cannok area?

The last bit is almost there a death cerficicate reference
so I can go buy it and finish the puzzle.

Did he marry again did he have more children etc just any information
would be fantastic.

Thanks

I'm also looking for Henry Rickuss but a much earlier one (married Ann Francis 1758). There are plenty of Rickhuss / Rickass (and other spellings) around Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale.
