Thanks all for trying. I couldn't get in yesterday either.

It seems  Northumberland may have made a UDI (unitateral declaration of independence)  ;D ;D ;D
James Stott c1775-1850. James was born in Yorkshire but where? He was a stonemason and married Elizabeth Archer (nee Nicholson) in 1794 at Ripon. They lived thereafter in Masham. If anyone has any suggestions or leads as to his birthplace I would be interested to know. I have searched for it for years without success. Thank you.

Yay I can get in now.

All I need to do now is remember what I wanted to look up ( and that's no joke either  ??? ::))

I got in. Have you tried doing a clean up of your internet browsing history in case some random cookie type thing is conflicting with it?
