Looking for old friend in Haworth
« on: Thursday 04 August 11 01:19 BST (UK) »
I am looking for an old school friend that I have lost touch with whose last known address was Haworth (*) her name is * (nee *) and her husband was * (presumably *) no second names known.  I live in New Zealand and have looked in the British Telecom book with no success.  It could be that they have moved house but I would love to get in touch with them again.  Can anyone help please?

Dependant on the time that has passed since you last made contact, why not send a letter with a self addressed envelope enclosed.
Maybe the present occupiers may have a forwarding address.
The telephone No may now be 'ex directory', that is not disclosed publicly or private.

Hi,

You could try a letter to a local newspaper. My father managed to track down his cousin's family last year by writing to a local newspaper; all he had was an address found on a 1947 marriage certificate!  Some of the groom's family were still in the area and got in touch to give him contact details.

Good Luck!

Thank you Nanny Jan - I'll try the letter first.  A more recent message  suggests that they are ex directory but may still be living at the same address in Haworth.  An excellent suggestion.  Lolita
