If you go to freebmd to the birth entry, you can add a postem with all the details, and it may help someone else who's looking.

Not sure what you mean.  Is the Free BMD in RootsChat or do I actually go to the Free BMD site?

Go to the freebmd site, find the birth entry, and add a postem.  Add mother's maiden name, date of birth, and address.   May help someone else.

Thank you for that.  I have now entered both birth certificates that were wrong.  I also tried looking for the marriage I have in 1948 but it hasn't been entered yet.

What about BMD certificates that are right and belong to my trees, can I also enter the details of those on the Free BMD site so that nobody orders them by a mistake?

Yes, you can add additional information:

A Postem is a short message that is attached to any entry in the FreeBMD database. The purpose of a Postem is to allow those searching the database to leave information about an entry, for example to leave additional details about the event.

OK I will slowly add the certificates I have, but I am working this coming week so it may not be until the week after.
