Hi

There are one or two useful pointers in this article:

http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Secrets+of+Auntie+Maggie'+Secrets+of+Auntie+Maggie's+farm%3B+Roman+road...-a0213074499
(Secrets of Auntie Maggie' Secrets of Auntie Maggie's farm; Roman road mystery and coins discovered at historic Roman road mystery and coins discovered at historic Haigh Cross property overlooking ancient crossroads)

If the people named in the article are owners rather than tenants you may be able to trace them through the registry of names (1704-1970) held at the West Riding registry of Deeds in Wakefield.

Best wishes,
