The address on the birth certificate is…

337 moss lane east, moss side Manchester 14

You could try wandering along the street in Google Streetview - I've had a quick look but it seems the odd number side of the street is either modern buildings or nothing much at all and even on the even number side you can't actually read house numbers.  Still it will give you some idea.

Thanks jan

Have done that but can’t make sense of the street numbering, I even copied a lot of photos from the Manchester archives in the hope of getting a street address from the 1960’s  that would put me in the right area

335 & 337 Moss Lane East were between Monton Street and Lloyd Street next to the Methodist Chapel.
Slater's Manchester, Salford & Suburban Directory, 1909. [Part 1: Topography & Street Directory]
The houses are no longer there, a car park is on the site, see http://www.rootschat.com/links/0ek9/

If you go to http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html and put the post code M14 4QB in to search, you can see maps of the area at various dates. The best one, showing the houses, is the 1891 town plan at 1:500

Stan  :)

Thank you so much for your time and effort in helping me. I have found a photo of the house I was looking for, not sure if I should put it on here even though I have cropped it, It came from another site  ;)
