Matilda CARTER 1851 Bathwick

We have a Matilda Carter birth registered 1851 at Bathwick with a mother Hulbert (from bathbmd).  We have Matilda on the 1851 census as 'under month old' & 'a visitor' in Paulton with a Carter family but no sign of the mother.  We have Matilda on each census and up to her subsequent death in 1932 as Matilda Challenger.

There is no sign of a Carter/Hulbert marriage being registered and no obvious sign of the mother at any time.  The Bathwick parish registers are only transcribed online upto1840.

Does anyone have any access to post 1840 registers that could check for a Carter/Hulbert marriage.
