Hi,

I have had a good go at transcribing the attached first page will of Edward Pickford, Innkeeper of the Bulls Head, Glossop. He died in 1818.

Records of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury, 30 December 1818.

Any help with the question marks would be most appreciated!
thanks

Simon Pickford

Is the word resembling 'Says' actually 'Lays'?

Can't find a suitable dictionary meaning for 'Lay', but possibly something in the context
of money laid out?

vv.

I wondered that too, vv, but couldn't come up with a reasonable definition.  Your suggestion is as good as any... :)
