I've looked at births 1858-1861 - can't find an Arthur Charles Jackson anywhere in the country!

1871 census has no Arthur Jackson (of any age) in Monmouthshire.
Two Charles Jacksons - aged 60 and 21.

Of the 9 Thomas Jacksons, only 2 are married - and neither of them to Elizabeth.

Very strange! ???

Bethan - can you explain from where you found your information?

Thank you all for your interest, I have been asked to do this search by a Facebook friend in Australia, apparently Arthur C Jackson emigrated there in 1879 and is her ancestor, she could find no trace of him either, so I thought maybe someone on here would be able to help, thank you again for trying it is very kind of you

Very Best Wishes Bethan

Forgot to add she had the info about his parents from his wedding certificate, crossed my mind that maybe the parents were not married and perhaps over here he was known as Arthur C Bragg

Thanks again Bethan

I have found an Arthur Bragg born in the September quarter of 1866, I wonder if you could possibly check the 1871 for Monmouth to see if his mother is with him and perhaps we can see if she is married

Thanks a lot, best wishes Bethan

Silly question - but I have to ask!

Are you sure its Newport, Monmouthshire you want?

And not Newport, Shropshire or Newport, Isle of Wight?
Or Cornwall, Yorkshire, Gloucestershire, Pembrokeshire or even Newport Pagnell?

It's easy to make an assumption if nobody mentions the county! :o ;D
