Help with Marriage - Walter Stenton - Completed Thank You

Wondered if anyone can help with a marriage for Walter Stenton and a Emma. I have Walter born c1859 Hoyland Barnsley Yorkshire. On 1861 and 1871 census he is living with his parents Moses Stenton and Ann Stenton (nee Naylor) they are living at Hoyland on both census.

On 1881 he is with his wife Emma and daughter Elizth Ann Stenton and still living at Hoyland. Emma is down as being born c1860 Hoyland Yorkshire.

The only marriage I can find is Dec Q 1880 Rotherham to Emma Uttley. I cannot understand why when both were from Hoyland Barnsley they would marry in Rotherham Yorkshire.

i have found some of my tree members married in Rotherham and born in Sheffield or Derbyshire boundary.
 I looked up Emma Uttley's Birth and lo and behold BMD  Dec qtr  1859  Rotherham  9c 400, so I think you can take it you have the correct marriage I take it you have yhe reference in case you wish to send for cert  =   Rotherham  9c  842.

Thank you for the replies I had not seen the birth for Emma and had not found the christening for Walter. These have helped a lot so thank you.
