As far as I can make out this is the baptism of Anne Dilley.

Thanks for the info on Familysearch.org. I've been using the site on and off for ages but not in this way. I'll have a good play with this feature when I have some spare time.

Once again thanks for your interest and help. I'm still not sure that I have Ann's death registration but "such is life".

2nd october 1828 Rushden,Hertford  George Dilley to Elizabeth LISLES ....extracted record...that looks a nice easy name to research ....

Hi Allan,

Yeah this is the marriage of Anne's parents. Think George Dilley may have been a widower as he was quite a good age.

Unfortunately my interest lies in the Barnes side of the family. Barnes is much more difficult you'ld agree. Thomas Barnes the husband of Anne Dilley was my great x2 grandpa's brother. Just trying to dot the "i's" and cross the "t's" with Anne's death record.
