Information on Oxted, Surrey

Hi,  Does anyone have any old history or information on Oxted, in Surrey.  I have just discovered that my great uncle Ralph Percy Whitney was headmaster at 'The School House', Oxted, in 1928.  This was the address that his son gave on his application to join the Police Service.  I think this would have been the Elementary School, as he was previously headmaster at Wotton School, near Dorking for 7 years, until December 1915, which was an Elementary School.  I don't know if there was more than one Elementary School in Oxted in1928.  I wondered if anyone had access to Kellys Directories for the late twenties early thirties, to confirm the correct address and how long Ralph Percy was at this school.
