Have you had a look at the Rootschat Board to do with Enhancing Photographs.
There are lot of very skilled graphic artist there, they regularly work magic on old photos such as these.

Hi Jodie

We are McClinton descendants although our family changed it's name or reverted to McClintock about 1880.

Hannah McClinton buried at Glenluce was the dau. of John McClinton and Isabella Graham. She was born about 1873. 

If you can trace your family back to Stoneykirk/Wigtown in the early 1800's there may be a connection.

Hi Helen, Im struggling with finding any info past William! I do know his father was Robert and according to census records and immigration for my ggrandfather Robert,there are connections to County Down Ireland...it would be wonderful to make that connection..there is only one person i have connected with in my research who provided me with photos,but she is actually researching for her husband and has not got any farther than me..i will let you know what i come up with..all the best,Jodi
