Could they have married there if one side of the family did not "agree" with this marriage, a bit like eloping to
marry??? Alice was only 20 yrs old, could that be the reason, did a female have to be 21 yrs to marry without parents/guardians consent in 1913??

There is several births listed on FreeBMD for a Morgan Father Surname and Mothers Maiden Surname  of Robertson
from 1911 to 1922 in the Pontypridd area. Bearing in mind that two Morgan men married two Robertson women, but there is no way of knowing which children belong to which couple without purchasing the birth certs.

I won't give full names in case of anyone still living, but this is the list:-

Now could this be the same person as on births above for G****s I Morgan birth 1911 P/prid?? If so then this eliminates one of them for possible children to George M & Alice R  or Pryce M & Ellen/Nellie R.

On another Member site, there is someone with George Morgan and Alice Robertson, having a dau Dora Ivy Morgan born 12 Mar 1920 Pontypridd and died Jan 2001 Glamorgan, there is no other children listed.

Dora then shows as married Dec Q 1953 Pontypridd to Roy Delwyn Morris born 4th Apr 1923 Pontypridd and died May 1986 Glamorgan. His parents listed as Stephen Morris born 1868 Nevern and died Oct 1942 Cymer. Minnie Barnett born 27 Aug 1886 Cinderford, Glous and died Dec Q 1972 ??.

Dora & Roy appear to have had a dau Living Morris who then becomes Living Davies with a child Living Davies.
I have tried to contact the Tree Owner on this site, so far not had any replies and he not logged in for over 6 months. Looking at this line it does appear that the details may well be correct, but unless he replies I cannot go any further with this.

Strange thing is that there is also another tree with a Dora Ivy Morgan listed as a dau to Price Morgan and Ellen/Nellie Robertson. There is only one Dora Ivy Morgan listed in Births on FreeBMD   Again I have tried to make contact with the Tree Owner.

I am getting closer to a living descendent of George & Alice Morgan... but then this depends upon contact from these Tree Owner's

The Tree Owner for Price Morgan n Ellen/Nellie Robertson with dau Dora Ivy, has his parents as Richard Morgan and Elizabeth Williams but no further details for them, these parents are also the same ones as for George Morgan. On marriage cert for George Morgan and Alice Robertson, Pryce Morgan is a Witness and is signed as Pryce Morgan, I am wondering if these are two different men with different spellings as there was a Price Morgan b. Knighton 1883 and therfore the Tree Owner has the wrong wife as there are 3 Price Morgan marriages 1905/7/9 but none of them to E/N Robertson only Pryce Morgan is married to her   Without someone having the info from the certs that I have then they would not be aware of the spelling of his name etc..

This is the only FreeBMD Birth entry for this spelling... Pryse Edward Morgan 1884 Newtown, Montgomershire & Powys
and a marriage Pryse Morgan to Anne Herbert Jun Q 1930 Tregaron
there is some possible births for children to these surnames too... confusion reigns
