Kinkaids of Shankill, Belfast- Orange order?
« on: Thursday 11 August 11 21:30 BST (UK) »
Hello there
I am descended from a family of Kinkaids who lived in Shankill,Belfast in the 1800s.  My great grandfather, Alexander, moved to Newcastle on Tyne around 1860, I am told to get away from the troubles.  He belonged to the Orange order and both he and his father, James, were coopers, as was William, who was either a brother or cousin of Alexander, and who also moved to Newcastle.

I would love to know whether there are any records of the Kinkaids in the Orange Order.  Are you able to help please?

Allison Wright
