Another basic one, but what are the names?
« on: Thursday 25 August 11 11:38 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to make out these names, it would open another branch in my family tree if I can find these people on family search.

"Your niece Mary, MRS "??? ?????" [is it Jim Fenner?]
Anna's oldest daughter, she sure looks like you."

"And your great niece [Marcaline Finner??]
She is just 15 years old. She is a cute kid. Haven't one of the boy just now. Wil send it later. He is 20 years old."

Help greatly appreciated.  :)

Mrs Wm Ferrer  (niece)

and Macarline Ferrer  (great niece)

Would this be Mrs Wm Ferrer's daughter I wonder.

Thanks guys, I'm still not finding anything to suit on family search.

Perhaps Fennen is a possibility also?

I think the connection may be as follows:

Anna Maria GORDON + Patrick J Prendergast, both Irish, but emigrated to Indiana, USA.

I know they had two kids, John J PRENDERGAST [1888 in Rushville, Rush, Indiana] and Theresa Gertrude PRENDERGAST [1890 - 1967].
I think there may have been another daughter Mary though I can't find her on family search.

I believe this is the Mary referred to in that writing, she married a 'Ferrer' or whatever that name is, and then she had a daughter who she named 'Marcaline' and an unnamed son.

Having no luck locating these people on family search so far though..

In the US Census 1900 the Prendergast family is living in Muncie, Indiana.  They have 6 children:
Mary 17 (born July 1882)
Kate 15
Maggie 14
John 13
Frank 11
Theresa 10

Oh wow, why is it that I have looked and looked and not been able to find that?! I was resigning to the fact that they must have only had two children, as I was able to find John and Theresa's marriage details on family search.

Thanks so much! I can now add these people to my tree.

A bit more information from the 1900 Census:
Patrick was born in 1850 in Ireland, and immigrated to the US in 1870.  He's a Brick Mason.
Anna was born in 1863 in Ireland, and immigrated to the US in 1882.

Patrick is not a US citizen.  He and Anna have been married 18 years, and have had 6 children, all living.

Mary is a Cashier (Store)

I can't thank you enough for that info! I've really spent hours looking and not come across this, it becomes frustrating after a while. I didn't know when they immigrated previously either, so that's great to have that info now. Thank you so much!
