Residence Cosgrove 1835
« on: Wednesday 04 May 05 16:07 BST (UK) »
I am wondering how to determine the address of George Wardle Dent who lived in Cosgrove 1833 to 1835 or a few years later. He was likely working as a goods clerk on the Grand Union Canal, but I am not sure. He married Mary Holman in Potterspury 1833 and a son William was born in Cosgrove 1835.

There were no Dents in Cosgrove according to the 1841 census. George went on to work as a goods clerk for the Great Western Railway. The family was in London in 1842, Stroud 1851 and again in London in 1861.

There is a reference to Rugby in the 1851 census and I suspect George may have gone to Rugby after Cosgrove.

thanks
