Do you have files created using an old version of software which will not run on your current PC?
In addition to our main machines, which run Windows XP, we also maintain computers running Windows 3.11, Windows 98 and Linux.
We have a large range of family history software which we can use for data rescue purposes:
TreeDraw, Family Tree Maker (all versions), Brother's Keeper, Family Historian, Roots Magic, Genbox, Genopro,
Generations Grande Suite 8, The Master Genealogist v4.0b, Family Tree Super Tools, v1.1.0, Personal Ancestral File v5.2 + PAF Companion v5.1.5, Family Tree Legends, Ages v1.3, Legacy v4/6/7, Comptons Family Tree v2.0, Family Origins v4.1a, Swift Ancestry Family Tree Designer, All four versions of GSP Family Tree, Ultimate Family Tree and Expert Personal Roots.
We also maintain working copies of older software (e.g. early versions of Lotus Smartsuite) which will handle older versions of word processing, spreadsheet and graphics files which "modern" software may be incapable of reading. In many cases we can convert your old file into a format which is readable by the software you currently have.
In addition we have retained the capability of reading 3.5 inch floppy disks, Iomega Zip 100 disks and Superdisks. If you have files on any of those types of disk which you can no longer read you can send them to us for rescue.
