Hi again Leanora,
I'll do as you suggest after I get back from holiday. We actually have a wooden block model of the breakwater which we are reconstructing at the moment so the plans would be very helpful indeed. We'll send you a photo of the finished article.

Enjoy your holiday,
KRs

If possible  I would love to speak to you about the pictures and try and see if I can help in any way I can to see if you can find anyone who remembers your uncle or grandfather.

Hello Leonora,

One of my friends at the Peterhead Family History showed me your messages today and I think I'm right in thinking it's Tommy Kelly who lived with his parents at the Prison Quarters in the 1940's when I was small or should I say young, Tommy helped me with the first codling I caught from the said breakwater, my husband is one of the men rebuilding the model and will be very pleased to see the disc when it arrives I have taken some photo's of the work in progress, but like you I'm not sure how to work this site properly.

Tommy had a sister Martha and Patsy if I remember properly, he was also friendly with Bob Law dec. and Alfie Hepburn who I think still lives in Aberdeen.

Wow! yes you have the right Tommy Kelly , and Martha was my mother.  both were so close as sibblings in life but also in death mum died on the 10th of April and Tommy on the 12th my birthday on the 1th, it was a few years apart.

Jessie and Pat die several years before them, and Bobby Law was his great friend.  for many years uncle Tommy  drove from Southampton to Peterhead to see Bobby Law every year until Bobby died.

Uncle Tommy was a wonderful uncle and  it so wonderful to read your post.  I will try and copy the disk soon and post it off,but having lost my father resently I still finding it hard to motivate myself to do anything.

I have wonderful memorys of Peterhead although I was only about 5 when my Grand parents moved to live with us in Chester.
