If anyone knows the whereabouts of the above-named we would be grateful if they could let us know. They were all previously from the Nottingham area in the UK.In the late 1950`s early 60`s they were known to be in the Montreal area with John working for Otis elevators.
Many thanks

April 26, 1955 sailing from Southampton to New York on the Queen Mary were the above named people.  Their destination was 4226 Decarie Blvd, Montreal.  From this link you can search the Montreal directories by surname and address.
http://stevemorse.org/montreal/montreal.html

Resident in 1954 at that address and also in 1960 (the only 2 years I checked) was Mrs. A. Cotterill (widow of H.).  There was a Howeth Cotterill and wife Annie and sons who emigrated to Canada earlier.  Their marriage possibly was Jun 1894 Basford (Howeth Cotterill and Anie Maria Simpson).  Relatives of the people you are looking for?

Death of Howeth Cotterill in New Brunswick.

He arrived 9 May 1925 on the Montrose. Howeth was 55 b. Pinxton Notts, a miner.  His wife Anne was 49 b. Eastwood as were 18 year old son Joseph Thomas and George Fred.  The sons were also miners.  Their Canadian contact was son William Cotterill of Rothwell, Minto, Queen's County, NB and the British contact was brother John Cotterill of Pinxton Nott.

There is a baptism into the Catholic faith for George Frederick Cotterill in Montreal on 29 May 1932.  His wife, Florence Gertrude Daniels was a witness.  His birthday was 25 July 1906 and his parents Howeth Cotterill and Mary Ann Simpson.

Your posts on Genes Reunited indicated a New Brunswick connection.

Thankyou to Cosmac & Debbie.
we have now established that John Howeth Cotterill married a Maria sometime during or after 1962 & that they lived at apt 6 2475 WALKLEY AVE Montreal until 1963/64
Peter & Brenda lived at apt 59 5340 Dudemaine Montreal until 1964/5
They all appear to have moved after this
Both brothers worked for Otis elevators in Montreal
We think they may have gone to Nova Scotia or New Brunswick  area as their were family links to Minto & Cumberland Bay
Can anyone help us further
Thankyou Andy & Jackie Searle

using canada 411as given by Debbie, there are 3 listings for Cotterill in Nova Scotia and 1 in New Brunswick.

Your best bet is to draft some letters and send them by post asking for information.
