Eadaoin,
Thanks anyway. I thought i would ask just in case.
I know there are a lot of irish projects to photograph cemeteries because of lack of other resources.
I managed to get the marriage certificates for Mary and her aunt so Im slowly making progress.

Regards

Mark.

Hi Mark,
I hope this link works as it is an excellent site. Hopefully it will open in the North Section where I did find reference to a Breslin grave at No. 438. I will hopefully be in the cemetery this coming weekend and will try locate grave No. A1 71 N for you.

from the igp site

No.438
 | DESMOND BRESLIN | died 16th July 1924 aged 4˝ years |
 | TERESA BRESLIN | died 27th July 1933 |
 | CHARLES BRESLIN | died 16th April 1937 | R.I.P.

from my notes on the Deansgrange Burial Registers ...

Desmond is son of Charles Breslin of Great Clarence St
Teresa is from 16 Macken St
Charles .. I've no Charles, but I've John Breslin 16 Macken St in April 1937
... ... (maybe I made an error, as the BMDs give a death for Charles Breslin from Dublin South in Q2 1937)

Hi Mark,

I dropped in to Deansgrange today and had a quick look for your Ancestors grave.

Check out picture and text No. 430 on the IGP site for the Rourke Family as it is Grave No. 77 - A1 – N so only six graves away from the resting place of your relatives. Unfortunately that whole area is very overgrown and I was unable to find the exact location of Grave No.  71 – A1 – N. hopefully one of the other members might have better luck

This is the Rourke Family headstone. You will note from the site map on the IGP site that there are two North sections. From the main walkway at the offices the graves are numbered in descending order, the higher ones being nearer the gate and the rows lettered from the back to the front so row A is in the centre of the plot, 13 rows in.

Hi guys you might want to check out the history of Bray (6 miles south of where you talking about) a Breslin was extremely important to the development of the town as a holiday resort (like Blackpool) from 1880 to 1910, in fact he owned a hotel out here, which is partially still standing, I'm working on a documentary of Bray at the moment so if I can help and if he's link, I would gladly help fill in the gaps :)

Sorry his name was Edward Breslin :)

I am a descendant of Edward Breslin, hotelkeeper of Bray and would be interested in any information about him.

Is there in your family tree an "I. W. Breslin" or a "J. W. Breslin" who was related to Edward Breslin the Bray hotel owner, who was living in 1914?  If so, please let me know and I'll send you some information that may be of interest to you.  Thanks, Andy Egendorf (Boston, MA, USA area)
