She died Swansea 10 Jun 1876 buried St Johns, Swansea
I think William died Mar qtr 1872.
Trying to find out if buried together, and if this is correct date of death.

Hi
Have you found them on any census? By tracking them you hopfully will be able to see what area of Swansea they where living and in turn the possibility of where they could have died and then  be buried ???
cheers cardiff :)

Hello  :)

There is a death in freebmd index in June quarter 1876, of Hannah Davies, age 66.

Could this be Hannah in 1871?

42 Jockey St, Swansea

Thomas Griffiths Head age 34  Labourer in Copper ore yard  born Swansea
Hannah Griffiths Wife age 31  born Swansea
Mary Griffiths age 9 Scholar  born Swansea
John Griffiths age 6 Scholar  born Swansea
Elizabeth Griffiths age 2  born Swansea
Mary Roberts  Wife's Aunty unmarried age 71 bed ridden for 10 years born Llangyfelach
Hannah Davies  Wife's Mother Widow age 64  Butcheress  born Llangyfelach

If so, then William would have died before 1871.

Thanks for the help, folks.
I've done some serious digging and missed the bit about wid. so my date was well out -- It appears to be 20 Jul 1847 St Marys or 30 Jul 1849 St John
On the assumption that the wife was buried near her hubby, then the St John date seems the one. I'll have to get a look at the parish records for both.
Thanks for your time,
Barry

I'm sorry Barry but I now think that it's not the right family, as in 1861 Hannah's husband is not William but John Davies (enumerated as Davis), at Jockey St

John Davis Head age 53  Labourer born Swansea
Hannah Davies Head age 53 born Llangyfelach
Mary Roberts  Relative age 60  Family? Shop Keeper   born Llangyfelach
Thomas Griffiths Lodger Labourer age 22   born Swansea
Hannah Griffiths  Wife age 22   born Swansea

Modified - However, Mary's father was called William Roberts, and she was a shopkeeper living with him at Jockey St in 1851.
