I'm trying to trace a George Ransford ( Rainsford ) who married an Elizabeth Price in Fiorda or Muckalee Castlecomer Kilkenny on the 8th Feb 1814.
The marriage cert said that George Ransford was living in Gillingstown Castlecomer Kilkenny
Although the Marriage Cert says he was living here, i'm not sure -
1 Why he was there - Was he working there ?
2 Where did he move from ?
Any information relating to this George Ransford ( Rainsford ) would be appreciated.
I estimate that he was born between 1775 - 1785.
Assuming he was aged between 29 - 39 years at time of his marriage in 1814. This is just a guess on my part.
Also the Marriage Cert had 2 Witnesses - An Edmund Ryan and a James Brennan if this is any help.
Also any information pertaining to Elizabeth Price would also be appreciated.
I found a Samuel Price living in Kilkenny St, Castlecomer Kilkenny in 1848 on the Griffith Census.
This could be important as this street was the street where George and Elizabeth finally settled after marriage.
Could this Samuel Price have been Elizabeth Price's Father ??
