T T SANDERS - Boer war casualty
« on: Wednesday 07 September 11 09:02 BST (UK) »
I am trying to identify T T Sanders, 4789, 2nd Devons, who is recorded as a casualty of the Boer War at Kingsteignton, Devon.

Any suggestions, please?

Have you seen this website?

www.devonheritage.org/Nonplace/DevonReg/Devons2ndBoerWarRollofHonour1899to1902.htm

Can't see your TT Sanders yet but it says they are continually updating it. Might be worth a look.

Best wishes

Maria

Thanks for the link, Maria. I found my reference on the Devon Heritage site, but taking a fresh look I see he is listed as PARTICIPATING in the Boer War, and not as a casualty. My error.

Results on the first link give place of birth.

Excellent, Ambly. That's my man. Because I had thought he had died in the Boer War, I had not looked for him at a later date.

Many thanks for the links. Progress has been made.
