Hi do you have the birth cert of Alice, to.show the Mother was Caroline Nash?
What census info have you, as you suggest Elizabeth(Hetty) was a sister of Alice and possibly John T Butcher.
Where were James and Alice Flood from 1881 to 1901?

Hi,

A few pieces of information that might help you with Alice BUTCHER

Alice BUTCHER was one of 9 children to George and Caroline.
Ettie DANIELS, living in the same household in the 1901 census is, as you say in an earlier post, Alice's Niece, daughter of her sister Elizabeth. Elizabeth married Joseph Edward Daniels (d. 1899). Ettie, is actually Hettie Elizabeth Daniels (b.28.7.1896). Hettie DANIELS had two younger brothers, Joseph Edward (b. 8.8.1896) and George Frederick (b. 1.1.1900). The family story goes that Elizabeth was unable to cope financially with the young family and the children were separated.
I attach a photo of Alice and James, if you are interested.
