hi iam tony bond  ive traced my ancestry back to reuben scarrott born 1842 charlbury finstock. chris 4/may/1842. charlbury.. his father was james scarrott born 1801 chievely berks. mother hannah scarrott nee cox chris 10/oct/1803 finstock. reuben scarrott  married susannah rowels born march 1843 witney. they married in burford. 13/sept 1863. i cannot seem to find any children born to them. in burford area nor can i find a death for reuben scarrott. or susannah scarrott nee rowles can any 1 help at all please. thanks

This suggests you are descended from one of their children - but you are asking if they had any children.  Can you clarify if you are a direct descendant of Reuben

hi carol  my great grandfather abraham james bond married selina scarrott born 1875 in burford her mothers name was susannah rowles who married reuben scarrott at burford 13/sept/1863

So we know they had at least one child

If you check the 1881 census for Selina - you will find her mother is married to an Elias Smith.  4 Scarrott children are shown on that 1881 entry

freebmd has a marriage in 1879 for Elias and Susannah so Reuben must have died between Mary's birth in 1877/78 and 1879 which is a very short timescale

No death on freebmd for Reuben - I wonder if he was a mariner and died at sea?

Do you have a copy of either the 1863 marriage cert or the one for Selina and Abraham

selina scarrotts real father was james scarrott . he was deceased when selina married in 1895 her father was a farm labourer. i cannot find a death for james scarrott

I would suggest you buy a copy of Selina's birth cert to confirm her fathers name and mothers maiden name
