there are two main cemeteries in Birkenhead they are flaybrick which was closed to burials a few years ago unless you have a plot. The other main one is Landican hope this is helpful.

Hello Tony
Do you have a death year for Claude Wright?Council burials can be looked up but only if you know the year.

Hi Celia;
Sorry I can only guess, around 1960s. He moved from Caston , Norfolk at a young age, working in various hotels, and later I am told owned his own place, last address was Birkenhead, Cheshire.
His parents were Horace Fincham and Violet Wright, hence Cluade Wright. his wife was Edith.

Not a lot to go on I know, have been searching for some yrs now.

thank you for your interest...

Yes i agree with you there, the volunteers do a wonderful job. I do Cemetery look ups myself. only for council cems though.I could do some Church yard ones but not  sure for birkenhead. Unless you can spend a couple of hours a week.At a reference library going through the death G.R.O's.It will take you another few years to find where he MIGHT be buried  ;D He might have moved on from birkenhead and died elswhere. so as said a death certificate is needed, another thing to remember is that a lot of churchyards were full by the 60's so unless he had a family grave to be buried in.He could be in a council one. when you find a death get back to me and i will do a look up for you. Where did you get his last address from.That is something i can look up if he was still in B/Head.
