I imagine Victoria was unamused if she was aware Albert had been shown as head of the household! I wonder wehat happened to the compiler of this page?

Roger, I hate to disappoint - Queen Victoria was above Prince Albert :



Relationships are not shown in 1841, but in 1851 Victoria is also above Albert but she is shown as "Wife" and he is shown as "Head".

Relationships are not shown in 1841, but in 1851 Victoria is also above Albert but she is shown as "Wife" and he is shown as "Head".

The relationship might not have been shown in 1841, but the enumerators were instructed to put the head of the family first :

The contradiction must have taxed the brain cell of the enumerator. :)
