« on: Wednesday 14 September 11 07:35 BST (UK) »
William Brennan from Coolcullen, Mothell and Muckalee, County Kilkenny married Anne Ryan, Kilkenny.  Children: James 1829, John William 1834 in Coolcullen, Ellen 1842, Michael 1846 in Crosspatrick.  May have been other children

There was also a cousin  William Brennan born in 1859, who came out to Australia on the “Hawkesbury” in 1878.

James and John arrived in Australia on the “Araminta” in 1854.  John married Catherine Mary Walsh at Mudgee NSW in 1863, 13 children.  Ellen married Michael Sweeney at Mudgee NSW in 1868, two children.  Michael married Johanna Cahill at Mudgee NSW in 1886, two children.

If anyone can help with any information I am extremely grateful

Have you already checked church records for the area ?
It looks like you already have marriage and baptism details for your Brennan/Duigan Ryan family...

The next step would be to establish what church records are available for the parish they lived in. I assume the family were RC ?

Note that few rural RC parishes have records before the 1830s.

Edit : corrected Anne's surname, as per recent edit

I don't know if the headstone featured is of any use, but it's in Muckalee cemetery.

p.s. I have a copy of the Marriage Entry from the Parish which states that William Brennan married Nancy Duigan 19th August 1827, Parish of Muckalee, Diocese of Ossory, County Kilkenny Ireland.

And to Shanew147 I would appreciate you not altering my posts to an incorrect marriage for William Brennan ie. Anne Ryan
