Hello Heywood, thanks very much for your postings on the link you have given above, I will keep an eye out there for any future postings. What advice can you kindly offer me...should I (cancel/close/or move) the info in this thread to the one you guys are using? or leave it on its own thread?
As you may guess, I am new to rootschat community & I have not been researching family history very long, however my research list of names are of my ancestors that very likely may have all passed on - not living people.
My apologies to the moderator of this board for listing birth details for my Rood family ancestors born between 1917 to 1942 in my post above.
Our extended family (here in Australia) had always wondered but could never figure out exactly where in 'Hampshire' the ancestors came from or precisely which family in England our connection was originally with until a little while ago.
I may sound a little bit 'silly' but it was not until I used my ancestors (the first John Hatcher of England & Janet Davidson of Scotland who arrived in Australia in late 1830's) children's names together with old style method of traditional family naming ways that I stumbled upon a promising Hatcher family link. My research approach is very broad and I do attempt to cover every single family connection name that turns up because, (call me crazy & sentimental) I believe every single person in my family tree is special & worth being remembered and secondly one day in the future I want to re establish my family connection back through our 171 years in Australia to the UK.
If I am very lucky maybe even find some living relations in the UK too if they find these postings we all leave here on rootsweb.
Hello Toni*, I only checked births, thanks for all the tips guys, much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Stephen
