Yorkshire where ?
« on: Wednesday 14 September 11 16:20 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Can anyone verify the birth place for John Carter on this census please,  i can read Yorkshire fine but not sure on the other word, later census state born Burton Leonard, but there is nothing about him in the parish records for the area to back up born in Burton Leonard.
Would be grateful for some help as i would like to go back further than John is possible.

Joanne

It is far too small to read, and also whole images are not allowed on Rootschat due to copywrite laws. Can you crop out the bit you want us to decipher please and just post that.

Alternatively if you can tell us what year it is and how old John Carter is,one of can probably look at the original for you.

I think there is also a Walton near Wetherby, which is much closer to Burton Leonard.
