Looking for details on James Rafferty b.1865 in Birmingham. I know his parents were James and Lydia and i know his siblings but i dont know who he was married to or who his children were or when he died, can anyone help? thanks.

James is working as a brass finisher.  Wife Alice is 34 and born in Birmingham.  Ancestry has a family tree with James and names his wife as Alice Pemberton.

'Jane' 15 yrs is really James, I think. In 1891 he is a nephew with Alice Pemberton 53yrs and Mary A Pemberton 15 yrs.

There is confusion on 1901 census - 'Jane' is a son but age has been crossed through and entered in female column. The occupation though is a cycle turner.

Awh he died in India? i hoped he had gone on to have lots of children as his name was awesome. Im trying to put a direct family tree together for my Grandad Clarence whos great grandparents were James and Lydia.

James and Lydia had 8 children but i didn't know any details about them until recently, now im just struggling with the few last ones that i dont have details for.

->Children - Ernest, Walter, Robina, Gladys, Dennis, Frances, all born birmingham between 1885 -1910

-> Children - Lydia, Emily, Rose, Violet all born Birmingham between 1885-1890
Elizabeth Rafferty b1870

Thats literally all the details i have except my grandads grandads child William as thats my great grandad so we know his details.

If any of you could help me fill in blanks that would be amazing. Thanks for all your help so far. Really does make things easier

The death in India could be another Ezekiel James Rafferty.

The 1906 marriage could be your man, the certificate should show the name and occupation of his father.
