Census Lookup request!
« on: Tuesday 20 September 11 22:20 BST (UK) »
Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you kind fellows have the time to look up my maternal great grandparents on the census for 1911. Great Grandfather Joseph Henry M (Meredith)Robinson born 1904 Sculcoates and Edith Egan also 1904 Sculcoates I am trying to find parentage and siblings. I have been waiting months for my mum to see if they still have their marriage certificates but I think eons will pass as she is very busy and I am stuck! Seems wasteful to order one if they already have it!
Thanks in advance.
Em.

Sorry, no we cannot 'do' 1911 requests.

There are plenty of tips for ekeing out information from the index though.

For instance, looking at Egan families in Sculcoates, with an Edith in the family.

When you do find the 1911 entry, it may tally with this 1901 family unit.

Also try looking at http://www.yorkshirebmd.org.uk/, particularly for pre-1911 marriages.

I think this may be JHM Robinsons parents in 1901.

Thanks so much Pauline,
I need to start making some headway with this side of the tree its been a bit neglected. Although likely that Joseph's father also had the same middle name seems to be a bit of a tradition.
