1841 & 1851 census lookup - Bissack

Hi all,

Would SKS be able to do a census lookup for me,  for a  Charlotte Bissack please.
She was baptised in Fordham, Essex on  11-4-1822 the (base born) daughter of Ann Bissack, servant.

I know she married my gg.grandfather Thomas Froude, in Bloomsbury, London in 1849 and moved subsequently  to St.Giles,  Middx,  St.Peters, Essex. before moving on to East Hendred, Berks.  where Thomas  originated from.

I'm trying to find also her mother Ann Bissack,  so wonder if she shows up in 1841 and 1851 census as well.

Any help will be most appreciated.

Hi Alan, I believe Charlotte is in Colchester in 1841 shown as BISSICK b 1822 Essex, she is working as a Servant for George and Rebecca Sansom & Family.

Thats a lovely find and the date of birth ties in nicely with her baptism.

I suppose there is no mention of her mother?

The surname has been written variously as Besseck/Bessick/Bessack and so on.

I'm trying to plot her travels from Fordham, Essex and now Colchester, to London and then on to Berks. Thats why I thought the 1841 census might be valuable.

I suppose there is every chance her mother could have married after Charlotte's birth - but when & where.
