Looking for marriage between Lewis Davies born 1799 in Llanrhaiadr and Ann ? born circa 1791.  Eldest child John was born in 1817 in Llanycil. Lewis's parents were Lewis Davies born circa 1770 and Ann Morris born 1770. They were married in Llanrhaiadr in 1793.

This may be a possibility of a marriage between your Lewis Davies and Ann Davies in Llanrhaiadr ym Mochnant:

7th January 1825  by Banns at Llanrhaiadr ym Mochnant, Montgomeryshire
Lewis Davies, Bachelor, of this parish and Ann Davies, Widow, of this parish (both signed by mark x)
Witnesses:  John Humphreys and D Griffiths.

Note that Ann is a widow, so it is possible that John (born in 1817) is her eldest child from her first marriage - just a thought......

Thank you so much for the info about Lewis Davies.  On his death cert.in 1868 the informant was a John Humphreys.  I have a John H. marrying Lewis's sister Eleanor around 1820 so I am sure he must be the same one.
